Rice Sickles

Ralph Martindale Sickles have sharp serrated edges. After forging, the blade undergoes normalisation before being hardened and tempered to provide an excellent cutting edge. The hardwood handle is firmly fixed to the blade with the tang running through the entire length of the handle, emerging at the other end. It is then bent backwards to ensure a secure and strong fit.
